Paintings: Libor Jaroš / Notes from Travels
LIBOR JAROŠ / “NOTES FROM TRAVELS”
18. 3.-13. 6. 2025
Paintings from the “Notes from Travels” series were created over a longer period of time – the artist’s travels and memories of the visual impressions associated with them were the inspiration. The paintings are abstracted visual records, a free artistic metaphor of a concrete experience that presents distinctive visual qualities. They are mostly related to a specific location, situation or feelings they evoked.
Libor Jaroš (born 1960 in Zlín) studied painting at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Brno (1977–1981). He works as a restaurateur and lives in Žatčany near Brno. Since the 1980s he has exhibited in solo and collective exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. He is a member of the art group Reunion.
Curator of the exhibition is Jana Vránová.
Organized by Nadace Partnerství in cooperation with House of Arts Brno.
Exhibition is open weekdays Mon–Fri 10–17.
