At the exhibition 625, artists Ondřej Dvořák and Ondřej Voráč joined forces in an intermedia performance. The two namesakes have long collaborated mainly on a multimedia level. In their work, we can see their attunement and interest in similar themes, yet each visibly works for himself and articulates his work in a creative dialogue. How much do you think can be communicated in just 25 seconds of video or 625 characters of text? In their work, the creative tandem tests the limits of artistic expression under their own rules. In the exhibition they combine sound, text and video and prove that limitations can paradoxically be a source of freedom. In an educational program called Omnipresent Messages, we will also delve into their work. Through challenges, you can experience how minimalism affects the perception of a message, how content changes when form is radically simplified, and whether less really is more. Come and experience the power of limitation and the power of connection. You may be surprised at how much emotion and thought can be packed into just a few words or seconds.
The program falls under the Arts and Culture and Media Education curriculum areas. The cross-cutting themes are Personal and Social Education and Environmental Education. The educational programme was created by students Eliška Řehořová and Kamila Květoňová from the field of Gallery Pedagogy and Art Mediation from the Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University under the guidance of Františka Orságová.
