screening.13

8. 4.  19.30  Rello

The seventh evening of screening.13 will take place on 8 April 2025 as part of Brno Art Week. Curated by Timon Láska, the screening will explore themes of anti-anthropocentrism and critique human claims to control nature. The films Avian Omen, The Lawnmower Man, and The Last Day of Creation address the alarming reality of technocratic dystopias and the loss of collective rights to the city, public space, and nature. With striking poignancy, they call for an end to capitalist ecocide, the elimination of anthropocentric hierarchy, the restoration of collective rights to urban spaces, and the cessation of human colonization of nature.
After the screening, Lydia Brunch will perform a DJ set.

Screening.13 is a music and projection series held exclusively at the Rello space on Rybářská 13. Its goal is to foster and strengthen Brno’s communities interested in audiovisual culture by offering a curated selection of contemporary moving images, often intersecting with music and sound. The screening evenings are curated both internally and with the help of invited curators or existing collectives. For this event, music and film journalist Timon Láska has been invited as curator.
