Guided exhibition tour with the author Petr Kvíčala

On Wednesday, 9 April 2025, at 17:00, we cordially invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition Research into the Ornament Continues, led by the artist Petr Kvíčala.

Kvíčala’s exhibition at Fait Gallery showcases his work over the last fifteen years. His art delves into the ornament as both a problem of mathematical order and an aesthetic phenomenon that has fallen out of favor. Ornaments continue to infiltrate Kvíčala’s paintings like mycelium, at times subtly, at others prominently. This polarity is especially apparent in the period covered by this exhibition, perhaps more so than in previous stages of his work. Alongside his paintings, the artist also revisits his work with wood. Kvíčala has invited artist Karima Al-Mukhtar to collaborate on hosting the exhibition.
