Denisa Štefanigová: Like Licking Honey Through a Glass

The library as a place of knowledge, of dormant knowledge, of clear vision that only longs to be heard,
brushed and swallowed again. But who will see it, who will feel it again, who will it enlighten?
Sometimes it is better not to see, not to hear, just to desire and experience, but then to close your eyes and act as if it is not there. But it is always somewhere, growing and budding, the pain, the tension, the taste, the desire, whatever is hidden inside us. In the same way, as a person tries to return to the feeling of immediate fulfillment, or to know it and at the same time forget, at least for a moment, what he has and does not have, but still something must constantly escape, so an installation of stitched paintings works in the same way, which must be looked at through glass - like licking through a glass, like experiencing something that is so far away.
